PC Talking Typing Tutor for Windows
Frequently Asked
Questions
- What is the difference between the Personal version and Educational
version?
- The Personal version of PC Talking Typing Tutor is licensed to an
individual and the license cannot be transferred to any other individual.
Educational licensed version The educational version is licensed to a computer
and any number of students can use the one version. The educational version has
additional features to handle multiple users and also can publish more detailed
information about typing and change practice options.
- Is Talking Typing Tutor Compatible with Windows 2000 or Windows
Me
- Yes
- What if my keyboard does not have the same layout as the default
keyboard layout included with Talking Typing Tutor?
- The keyboard can be changed and contact the developer for getting a
keyboard layout compatible with your computer. A software program to allow
people to create their own custom keyboard configurations is under development.
- Can I use Talking Typing Tutor with a Screen Review program?
- You need to turn off the screen review programs speech to use Talking
Typing Tutor. PC Talking Typing Tutor uses its own speech and you currently
can't turn it off. I do plan to add a feature to turn off speech, so it could
be used with a screen review program. My only concern is that most people using
the program will probably not be very familiar with screen review programs and
therefore add to the complexity of using Talking Typing Tutor to develop
keyboarding skills.
